Taylor Ranch Elementary

Since its opening, Taylor Ranch Elementary has been considered a leader in the use of educational technology. There are four technology labs located on campus, where students can learn the latest in instructional software. And with a state-of-the-art science laboratory, students can get hands-on experience while they learn. There are also Advanced Work Classes offered, to meet the needs of gifted and high-performing students.

 

Island Village Montessori School

The Island Village Montessori School is a charter school with campuses in Venice and Sarasota that have earned the status of “high performing charter school” by the Florida Department of Education since 2011. State College of Florida

Established in 1957, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is the region’s first and largest public college, serving 11,000 college credit students annually at campuses in Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and Venice, as well as via online classes. Another 14,000 participants annually attend professional development and personal enrichment classes. The College has graduated more than 50,000 students since 1959.

Suncoast Technical College has a location conveniently located in North Port. Students can enroll in challenging career and technical programs that prepare them with the knowledge and skills desired by employers and colleges. Technical programs have been developed in partnership with regional businesses and are tailored based on community members’ input of demonstrated needs.
